What is a Network Assessment?

A Network Assessment examines the network in detail and identifies issues and irregularities, which could be causing the network to be operating inefficiently.

Hanley Networks can provide an independent assessment of the health of a client’s data network. Our engineers have many years experience at analysing local and wide area networks including routers, switches and firewalls, of many makes and models.

Typical assessment problems which have been discovered on client networks are misconfigured switches, incorrect or asymmetric routing, duplex mismatches on Ethernet switch ports, bridging/routing loops, and general bandwidth issues.

Why do we need a Network Assessment?

During the lifetime of a network, many changes occur due to factors such as organic company growth, innovations in technology and changing business needs.
A network which was fit for purpose, and fully documented, after initial installation can transform over time. Networks need to have regular health checks to make sure that they are still performing optimally.

How does it work?

Our Network Consultants will visit your site to examine your production network. We will work with your IT and automation staff to provide on-the-job knowledge transfer while examining your network and identifying any problems.

A report will be provided which will outline the overall network infrastructure and highlight areas of concern, with recommendations on how to fix any issues found.
